After a one time test, this certificate can be used for an unlimited time.
The signs “DIN - geprüft” and “DIN - geprüfte Sicherheit” confirm the accordance of the product with the DINstandards.
By having this certificate, manufacturers can state, that the product corresponds with the DIN-norms.
The quality management, the measurement equipment and the product itselfs of all manufacturers explaining their products as either “DIN - geprüfte Sicherheit” or “DIN - geprüft” will - in contrast to the CE-certification - be tested and monitored periodically.

To be able to mark the products with one of those signs, a certification stated as “Prüfbescheid” is needed.
Canadian Standard Association (CSA): This certificates and norms are comparable with the DIN-certificates.
The factory is also monitored regularly by a quarterly factory audit.
Australian / New Zealand Standard (AS/NZS): The certification body in Australia acts similar as the DIN certification body.
This certificate stands more or less for the DIN-sign in Australia.
After getting the certificate, a yearly audit is conducted by SAI Global.
GOST-R, Russian certificate: Comparable with the CE certificate.
Permits the sale of the product in Russia.
American National Standards Institute (ANSI): The ANSI certification can be done by the manufacturer as long as he can guarantee that the product meets or exceeds the required values.
