One finger unlocks the quick release trigger. Positive locking action holds work tight. High tech resin constructed jaws and heat treated steel bar. Large pliable pads won't mar work. The welding clamps are the same design as the regular clamps except the jaws are made with heat treated carbon steel and the pads are made from splatter resistant copper plated pads.
