This is a ratcheting type "pvc" pipe cutter
It cuts "pvc" and "polyethylene" pipe, which includes plastic conduit and sprinkler pipe
These are a "ratchet" type cutter that is designed for clean shearing type cuts for one handed operation
You simply squeeze the cutter, open and squeeze again and again until through the piping
The blades are a special alloy steel, that are heat treated for a long service life
The hooked jaw holds the tool on the pipe and firmly in the correct cutting position
The handles are bright red, and the blades and ratchet have an anti-rust finish.
They are designed for 1/2" and 3/4" pipe, but some of the higher schedule, thin wall 1" will fit.
The maximum jaw opening is 1 1/4"
